S. Alesiani, 82, of Monessen, died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004, in Jeannette
District Memorial Hospital due to injuries sustained in an automobile
accident.
She was born Nov. 14, 1921, in Donora, Pa., a daughter of the late Salvatore Savarino and Cynthia Romano Savarino.
She was a 1939 graduate of Donora High School and a 1942 graduate of Western Pennsylvania School of Nursing.
She
was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army Nurse Corps
aboard the USS Comfort and with the 32nd General Hospital in the
Philippines.
Mrs. Alesiani was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church in Monessen.
She was an avid card player and loved to travel, but her passion was reading.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Frances Puglisi.
